Once Again...

Here we go again! Another attempt to quit my habit of quitting smoking. I went to my doctor and got a prescription for Chantix (a medication to aid in quitting smoking).

For those of you who don't know, this is attempt #497 to quit. For those of you that do, I'm sorry you have to hear me talk about it again. I've tried just about everything and do fine for quite a while but somewhere down the line I bow out and go right back like nothing ever happened. This time (like every time) I'm hoping will be my last. Chantix is a 5 month program and all of the other things I've done it doesn't contain nicotine. I'm on week 2 of a 20 week program so wish me luck (again).

On the same note but in other news; I bought Guitar Hero World Tour, the one with the drum kit and mic, for my Wii for ridiculously cheap. The catch was that if I started smoking again I gave V permission to sell the game. This should help keep me in check because for some sick reason I love that game with a passion.

I got myself a personal trainer to help me get to where I want to be. One day a week I will be meeting with "Ben," who will be kicking my ass and making sure the rest of the week I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing. You should see the print out they gave me. If I stick to the program I'm gonna look like an effing beast.

I went grocery shopping to to buy the necessary food stuffs. This food is BORING! But I'm pretty good at the cooking thing so I hope to make it a little better. Oh and Aldi's makes it really easy to eat really good for really cheap. I got 6 pork chops, 4 pieces of salmon, 8 flavored tuna packs, 12 cans of chicken, 2 bags of almonds, a whole bunch of frozen fruit, jello cups, vitamins, a big tub of yogurt and some other crap for like 60 bucks. Try doing that anywhere else. All the old food and crap around the house, yeah that's been removed. Out with the old in with the new.

I am going to stop being a sissy and not smoke another cigarette and stop wearing these patches. I need to have self control if I am going to stick with this. If I can't control the smoking habit, I can't do any of this.

I am motivated. I am ready. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Just had an awesome time up at Lake Geneva. I got so wiped out it's taken me 2 days to recover!

Speaking of being a sissy, I have made a pact with 2 friends to get ourselves healthy and swim across the lake. We started a blog: 3 Big Dudes to keep ourselves in check and keep track of our progress.

I quit smoking again because I hate the fact that if I don't I'll never run the marathon. Wish me (us) luck. Peace.
Horray me

I haven't smoked for 1 week 1 day and 13 hours. Not bad if I do say so myself. Maggie and Pher (my best friends) also quit smoking this past week. That will be a big help seeing as I'm always around them and the temptation would be bad for any of us. This way with none of us smoking there is noone to keep us down.

I am working on trying to make a time schedule to plan out my days to have a little ordered chaos. I need to get myself used to working on a schedule so I can get enough sleep and do my regular duties around the house. I mainly want to do this so I can get back to running. I watched a bunch of videos and remembered why I want to loose the weight, why I want to quit smoking and why I want to run that marathon. Man I want that so bad I can taste it...
